Resumen:

In order to elucidate the effect of Ti loading into HMS on the morphology, structure and hydrodesulphurization (HDS) reactivity of supported NiMoW sulphide phases, in this work a series of Ti-containing HMS mesoporous silicas were prepared by using a post synthesis method. The HMS substrate with hexagonal structure was selected for supporting ternary NiMoW catalysts. The DBT was selected as a model molecule since is a typical sulphur-containing compound present in the petroleum fraction of high-boiling point or coal derived liquids. To determine the effect of the incorporation of titania in the structure of HMS, the interaction with the active phases and the dispersion on the surface, the samples were characterized by a variety of techniques as N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, XRD and TEM.
