Resumen:

The association of long duration gamma-ray bursts with core-collapse supernovae has created the need to understand the dynamics of the jet propagation through the progenitor. Analytical and numerical studies have shown that said propagation has strong feedbacks on the properties of the propagating outflow as well as those of the progenitor star. In this paper, we review the progress of our understanding of the jet-star interaction and its consequences on the observed burst properties. Copyright © 2018 by the Editors. All rights reserved.
