Resumen:

A true cellulolytic fungus was previously discovered, which was identified as Aureobasidium sp. This strain produces cellulase activity able to hydrolyze microcrystalline cellulose and filter paper. This paper, in abstract form, refers to work directed recently to know more about the properties of the cellulolytic activity of Aureobasidium sp. when it is grown on pure cellulose, lignocellulosic materials or sugars related to cellulose. It also refers to the identification of the products of hydrolysis of cellulosic substrates, as well as the purification of one enzyme of the cellulase complex of Aureobasidium sp.
