Resumen:

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic, mitigation measures have been implemented in each country to prevent the increase in positive cases. One of the main ones has been the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels of education. However, the reopening of schools has not been an easy decision to make, because this implies an increase in mobility as well as contacts and therefore the possibility of an increase in the number of cases, not to mention the concomitant economic spending due to the implementation of screening for COVID-19 surveillance in schools. Here, we explore a mathematical compartmental model to analyze scenarios after the reopening of schools, within a campus collage in Mexico. © 2023 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
