Resumen:

Soil science education takes place in the formal classroom, laboratory, and extension and outreach settings. It can be provided by professionally trained teachers in schools and universities, individual scientists reaching out to the public, or professional societies looking to expand knowledge of the discipline. Regardless of the form, setting, or identity of those delivering this education, it is important to understand that teaching involves more than just the delivery of discipline-specific content. Soils knowledge is used to address a wide range of modern problems. Inter- and trans-disciplinary thinking, communications, and interpretative skills are also needed to address global challenges. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
